The roots of General Memorials began in the early 1900s in the Vermont quarries. Like many of his relatives, Eugene Letter embarked on his journey in the granite industry. Early on, Eugene discovered his passion for the craftsmanship of memorial artistry. This same fondness was passed down from father to son for five generations. Today, the dedication to creating timeless tributes for families continues, blending traditional techniques passed down with modern innovations. Quality craftsmanship has maintained our family's standard throughout the years. As a result, we have endured the test of time much like the headstones we craft, and continue to serve our community with unwavering commitment.

We understand all relatives do not live locally. We are equipped to provide the same care you would receive in the office remotely through email, phone, or mail. If this option works best for you, please do not hesitate to give us a call!

How do I know what type of memorial I can purchase?

All cemeteries have rules and regulations regarding what memorials are allowed in their cemetery. We are well acquainted with the guidelines of all local cemeteries and are ready to help guide you and your family to find the perfect headstone for your loved one that meets the cemetery and families' standards.
